Supremus Certificate Program of Biblical Studies

115 cr.

The Supremus Credential is the last of the Biblical Studies requirements.  After this program is fulfilled the student may move to another field and receive a Magister Supremus with a major in Biblical Studies in that Field or seek to obtain another credential in another field that has a Magister Supremus program.  Example:  A Magister Supremus of Biblical Studies In Potisiology (This would be the examination of the concepts and principles of Potisiology from a purely textual, exegetic point of view of the scriptures on this topic.  A comprehensive Text is required for the fulfillment of this program.

6.  Biblical Genre And Characterizations of Scripture -BIB-305 5 cr.

7.  Examination of Difficult Passages of Scripture -BIB-306 5 cr.

8.  Apocalyptical References In Scripture -BIB-307 5 cr.

9.  Biblical Christological Themes of Scripture -BIB-308-BIB-312  5 cr. Each

10.  Biblical Examinations Of Scriptural Considerations of The Hypostasis of God BIB-400 5 cr.

11.  Doctrinal Extrapolations From Scripture (Developing Doctrine Through The Use of Scripture) BIB-401 5 cr.

12.  The Pattern of Deuteronomistic History -BIB-402 5 cr.

13.   Countering Biblical Diatribic Assaults -BIB-403

14.  Commentary Assessment (Summa Theologica) BIB-404 10 cr.

15.  Capstone Project ( The Capstone project is a comprehensive project that is valued at 20 Credits.  The Capstone Project must be approved.  The time limit to fulfill this capstone is a minimum of 2 and half years.  The student will not be penalized for early completion

2.   A Course with lectures

3.  A Discursive Critique (Tape Teaching Series) *The commentary must be approved and must be a commentary that has not been chosen by another candidate for Supremus.  The commentary set must have at least 4 volumes or more.
