"Those Who Conduct Spiritual Warfare"
Qui Militiam Obeunt are those who have been consecrated over for the purpose of engaging spiritual warfare. They are the Apostolic equivalent of the Catholic Exorcist. The phrase Qui Militiam Obeunt literally means "Those Who Go To War" The term exorcism literally means "The act or process of exorcising. This term is taken from the term "exorcisme" of the Old English and was developed from the Old French from the Middle Latin language which was migrated from the Greek "exorkismos", meaning the administration of an oath. The term exorkismos < exorkizein (bind by an oath) The term ex (out) horkizein (cause to swear) < horkos (Oath). The meaning of the term exorcise is as follows:

1. To seek to expel (an evil spirit) by adjuration or religious or solemn ceremonies

2. To free a person or a place from evil spirits or malevolent influences
​
3. To invoke evil spirits to abandon their possession of oppression of an individual
​
4. The calling out and banishing of evil spirits
​
It is sometimes believed that the term referred to the exorcist taking an oath to the commitment of battling the powers of darkness while some insist that in the past it was believed that individuals bade demons to swear, upon them being banished that they would not return. This is hardly likely since these malevolent spirits are, by nature, deceivers and liars.

The qui militiam obeunt are also called "Pneumaticists" (The Spiritual). The need for these individuals in the church this century are so vital that words cannot stress their importance. Pneumaticists are highly skilled and trained in:

They are extremely rare in this time because most who endeavor to enter into spiritual warfare do so without focus and consistency. This is why most who enter this field are older and more settled. It takes years to prepare for this ministry and to engage in those studies that are intense and very comprehensive.
