R.I.H.S. was formed to enhance and develop the preaching skills of the 21st preacher. It is all about preaching and positioning one's self for power. Preaching is much more than merely developing oratory skills. It is speaking for God and understanding that the souls of mankind hangs in the balance.
R.I.H.S. stresses on all things related to preaching and the winning of souls. the student will concentrate on everything from voice development, sermon preparation and the Nepheshiology of Preaching. From beginning to end the student is learning to speak by doing.
Each Class is 8 Weeks of intensive training. Modules 1 & 2 will give the student of preaching a comprehensive knowledge of preaching and the mechanics that go along with preaching if the principles are applied and the course is taken seriously. the student can continue on to module 3 if they so desire. Module 3 is desire to produce a level of professionalism in speaking that can be used in many pursuits as it relates to speaking in front of crowds. Module 3 will address the refinement of preaching, lecturing, teaching in the classroom, giving a speech as well as preparing the voice to obtain a degree of oratory resonance that leads to a professional speaking voice. Module 3 is only offered upon request to the serious Homileticist.
Module 1
It's All About The Voice

1. The Definition of Preaching -HRRG-100 - This course will focus on the meaning of preaching according to the scripture. It will analyze why preaching is persuasive and why preaching must reach the center of the emotive heart. $40.00

2. The Nepheshiology of Preaching- HRRG-102 - This course will explore the dynamics of preaching and how it impacts the mind. The student of homiletics will come to understand why preaching isn't merely manipulating the mind but convincing the mind through logic and truth. $40.00

3. Public Speaking (Developing Timbre of Voice) -HRRG-103 - This course will focus on the voice as a living tool. The student will come to understand the tools of timbre in the voice that convey both human emotions and the emotions of God. $40.00

4. Articulation In Speaking - HRRG-104 - This course will focus on the living voice in using articulation. In many cases individual use over annunciation and develop habits of sounding too robotic and mechanical. True orators speak clearly and intelligible without sounding fake. This course will develop the articulation in speaking.$40.00

5. The Types of Timbre - HRRG-105 - This course will explore the importance of timbre. The student will recognize the 6 types of timbre and the qualitative genderization of voice that expresses both authority and clarity in preaching.

Sermon Preparation
​
1. The Protocol Of Preaching - HRRG-200 -This course will focus on the opening process of preaching. The student will understand the importance of the appropriate protocol in recognizing the Leader of the house, honoring visiting dignitaries and staff and even addressing the congregation. $40.00

2. Dynamic Textual Reading - HRRG - 201- This course will explore reading the scripture to express the original emotion of the text as it was written. It is reading the text that as a living text that will engage the hearers of the message. $40.00

3. Developing Your Introduction - HRRG - 202 - This course will explore the introduction or the thesis of the sermon. It is crucial to introduce the message in such a manner that the hearer desires to hear more of the message. $40.00

4. Sermon Topic Development - HRRG - 203 - The student will learn that it is God that gives the topic or the title of the sermon but the speaker must hear what God is saying and understand that the topic that is bland will be soon forgotten. There is a thin line between the God-given and the man made sermon title. $40.00

5. Types of Sermons - HRRG - 205 - This course will explore the types of sermons and the student will be required to develop each type of sermon and to actually deliver a sermon and have it taped to be critiqued. $40.00

6. Breath Control, Cadence & Pacing - HRRG-206 - This course will explore the tools of understanding breath control, using the right cadence as well how to pace oneself while delivering a sermon. It is here that the student will learn to not cause the distractions that may turn the hearer off while yet allowing the personality of the speaker to come forth. $40.00
