How Far Can Neural Plasticity Go?

The Focus: This study will focus on the nature of neural plasticity and the degree in which this process can literally rewire the brain. The study will examine modern science, medicine and the exegetical applications of the scripture as they relate to the nature of man.

The Objective: The objective is to determine what degree the human brain can be rewired and what this rewiring can impact or solidify as a static behavior or orientation.

Abstract: The concept of the human mind/brain phenomenon was drastically different in the past than it is now. With the latest technology of brain mapping and brain imagining, the brain has been studied and examined to a much greater degree than every before. The term orientation has been used for decades as it describes instinctual behavior especially concerning sexual behavior. The church has seen the alternative lifestyles as cesspools inhabited by an enemy that is to be hated. We understand that the harmartiological existence (the state of the human nature not the behavior learned or enforced by others) produces many behaviors in all people of all types and categories. It is the same harmartiological state that causes sexual perversion in every area of human sexuality in homosexuality, heterosexuality and bi-sexuality. With the existence of over 20 unique modes of sexuality it is very apparent that something is happening in the human mind and perhaps the brain as it relates to the processing of human emotions, forging of relationships and the development of a balanced sexuality.

This research was developed to examine the modern day value systems concerning relationships, sexuality and the human modality of engaging in that sexuality. The goal is to ascertain if neural plasticity can have an impact on the brain and thus the mind as it relates to the perception of human interaction, relational attachments and the method of conduct in human sexuality in general. Modern science, historical philosophical views, scriptural exegesis of specific texts and modern techniques of psychology, nepheshiology and essencological concepts and principles will be used in gathering and compiling data that will be evaluated in an analytical approach that is a comprehensive examination and deductive analysis of the findings.
