D. Reeves Reverbnation Page
Our production company, Lion Legacy Productions and our music featuring D. Reeves was placed on Reverbnation in the summer of 2014. We have been in the top 5 for quite some time. Currently ranked number 2 in our local area we have been ranked number 1 for quite a few weeks.
My music is inspirational and about life, in particular my life. There are many expressions to life and my objective is to share those various manners in which I express my feelings. Although I have played Piano for a number of years as a method of therapy and enjoyment. I began seriously composing and recording in 2013. I began in the late summer or early fall of 2013 and now in 2015 I have accomplished writing over 131 projects with over a thousand songs and climbing.
I am still learning the music business and plan to continue to write and produce. I had considered ending my writing and composing career to begin an aggressive marketing strategy to promote my catalog of music and I wrote what I thought would be my last project which was entitled: "The Final Stage." While contemplating this I lost my mother who was very dear to me and one of my closes friend.
When I began to reflect on all of the events that led up to her demise I began to remember why I started to write and produce in the first place. This led me to make the decision to continue to write and produce. I started writing because music is a comforting and therapeutic force for me. After instructing in college classrooms and consistently administering counseling and speaking and sponsoring seminars and conferences I seldom have time for myself or to think. It is the music that relaxes me even when I am writing my next book or compiling my research for a class or seminar.
I decided to continue to write as long as the music keeps coming. It apparently has not flowing yet as I have completed my 132nd project and just began my 133rd project today. My music is sometimes soft, sometimes whimisical, sometimes classical and even sometimes ecclectic and fussion, I called it Jazzical/Clazzical. It is my story and my therapy. It is my life and my expression. For now I guess I'm still in the game.
