Clazzical music is my version of classical music that may, at times have an urban flair to it. I sometimes call it urban classical. It is a mixture of orchestral instruments and instruments that may be used in Jazz compositions. Clazzical is a genre that can be called easy listening or quiet storm. I have always enjoyed classical music and now I have the capability to dabble around with music that flows from my heart. My playing began with an experiment that I was conducting. I wanted to see how specific music impacted the mind while I was engaged in technical research and study. I am a Theological Professor among other professions that I enjoy such as pastoral counseling and ministering.
After working on music (Jazzical and Clazzical) I found that my mind was very quick in assimilating to my studies and my writing. I began composing music that would allow me to keep writing and publishing my transcripts and found that the more I wrote my music the more my mind was able to think clearer and more comprehensively. Classical music invokes the mathematical mind. It is very complex and causes the mind to open and expand while listening. It also has a calming effect within the consciousness of the mind on many different levels. Interestingly enough Jazz has the same affect. More and more surgeons are using music while performing their operations. Teachers and librarians use classical and some jazz to calm the atmosphere where students are concerned.
Clazzical and Jazzical combines the best of two genres to produce a very calming and mind expanding experience. It is more than just music but it is the force of mental arousal and mental invigoration. It has long been understood that music and art have a therapeutic and calming affect upon those who hear it. My journey has just begun with my clazzical music. I have begun to write more clazzical since I have over 200 cd projects I can now begin to hone my craft and learn. It is my goal to understand the science behind music to a greater degree. As for now I will explore, continue to train and experiment with all the new sounds and instruments that I have access to.
