New Release From D. Reeves

The 3rd official release from D. Reeves for Lion legacy Records should hit in about 2 weeks. Company executives wanted to release some of the previous projects that have been completed but president of Lion Legacy Records and Lion Legacy Productions D. Reeves though it better to begin with some of the more recent projects and release some of the older ones in between the release of the more current projects.

The goal is to provide the more sophisticated and recent music so individuals can get a feel of the progression of the style that it not only evolving but becoming quite a phenomenon. Reeves has been busy writing for the last 5 years and now has begun to release the projects that have been scrubbed and prepared for a wider audience. At the age of 61 his decision to begin working on his projects for nationwide release was a no brainer. He spends a great degree of time researching and writing reference books, such as philosophy, theology and Essencology he is not bound to a clock or an employer in the conventional means. In between, lecturing, counseling and administrating an institute of higher learning he has considerable time to relax and to write and play.

My goal is to create great music that is soothing and reflective. I am still working on my craft and expanding my skills. When asked what next? The answer is simply, "I want to keep getting better and to give the people something that allows them to refresh their minds and to slow down and enjoy life and one another. Eventually I would like to compose more classical music. I guess I would call it urban classical. Our company has lined up about 5 more projects that are finished with all of the art work and the tracks completed. After reviewing the tracks I will determine if they need to be cleaned up or if there is a need to put an entirely new track into the project.

I am excited about the progress and our release schedule. After 4 years of intense writing and mixing Its time to roll out the product. I'm still writing but not as much as before. In the past I would sometimes finish a project in a week I now may do 3-4 songs in a week depending on my publishing schedule and teaching responsibilities and of course time for my wife, children and 5 grandsons. Life is short and I'm trying to live it to the fullest in the most positive manner that I can.

I do want to thank of course God and my special partner Sherita (my wife of 30 years, my son (son in law) Phillip who has been a jewel in assisting me, The rest of the team at Reeverian Concepts (Diana and Scott) my eldest daughter and my grandsons who provide me with quite a few cases studies and inspiration for songs. A special thanks goes out to a dear musician friend who is also about to release his second project, Reginald Johnson who spent so much time teaching me how to use Garage Band, Protools and Native Instruments and of course to those who design my CD covers: Ryan of RAW DESIGNZ and Ariel for their extraordinary work.

Most of all I thank all of you who have supported by previous projects. You are so special to me and I can't wait to bring you more and more beautiful and artistic music!
