Newest CD Release by D. Reeves

The latest release from D. Reeves and the Lion Legacy Productions/Records is the project entitled: "The Place of Shemen". It is another eclectic project that contains 10 tracks of easy listening Jazzical and Classical music. It is both therapeutic and soothing to mind. The Piano is highlighted in many of the songs as well as the various horns such as the trumpet, sax and of course a riveting bass line. The Place of Shemen is a story about a journey into destiny and purpose.
Every student of Potisiology understands the concept of the Shemen. It represents the thick abundant presence of power and healing that this world so desperately needs. The theme represents the personal journey of Reeves for both his life and his music. The world is a fast pace place with very little time to stop and reflect, unwind or to enjoy our surroundings.
The jazzical and classical runs on the acoustic piano will both sooth and incite a desire to hear more and the use of the organ will add a new element to both the classical and the jazzical feel to the project. The project is the latest production from Reeves and will not be his last.
The company wanted to release some of the more current projects and then begin releasing those projects that were not previously released as well as some of the newer stuff. There should be an interesting array of sounds coming from Lion Legacy that span about 4 years. With approximately 16 projects that will be remixed and released in the upcoming months. When all is said and done the Lion Legacy company will have released 21 projects.
The music catalog of Reeves boast over 200 CD projects. When asked if he will stop writing and producing D. Reeves smiles and merely says,
"I had every intention of stopping about a year ago and devote more time to my studies, research and writing but the music continues to come. It is an inner thing that reflects who and what I am. I guess I'm more reflective than I first assumed. So I guess I will continue to write as long as the Good Lord allows me to. My music does reflect many places and experience of my life and I guess this is the reason I continue to produce."
It appears that the music of D. Reeves will be with us for a while. We can only watch, wait and listen to see how the Jazzical / Clazzical genre will evolve.
