Why The Mind Is Important

The mind is the crux of the soul in that it is the living individual with all of its nuances and elements that make one an individual being. It is the soul with all of its principle features that give each individual exclusivity in their being and existence. The human soul has long been misunderstood because most individuals who study it do so from merely a physiological modality. The soul is not considered to be a literal existence and therefore most scientists seek to know it's operations. This in itself is a fallacy because to diminish the soul down to being the product of a physiological system of neural networks and chemical processes that occur in the brain is to assume that these mechanism work in an of themself without a living sentient existence that utilies the physiology and the chemical processes that are present.

There is much more to person-hood and the living mind than organic hard-wiring.This is why the process may be understood but how and why it works may never be understood because the soul is an existing entity that is, according to the scriptures (Genesis 2:7), a living creature. It is called a living soul (Chay Nephesh). This Hebrew term suggests that the soul is a "breathing creature" that possesses mental and emotional abilities as well as volitional capabilities. The Nephesh (Often call Nepes) is a conscious and living creature that was brought into existence by way the union of the breath of life (Neshamah Chay). To fully understand why this phrase is vitally important to the understanding of the human mind one must have some type of understanding what the Neshammah is. The Neshammah is said to be breath that was dispatched from God into a formed physiological system. These two factors will firstly reveal that the human body is very complex and systemic in nature. Every medical doctore marvels at the systems of the body and how they operated in harmony to continue the precious gift of life and living that is within the somatic structure and manifested through every bodily system. Each system supports one another as though they communicate on some grander scheme of things. These systems are seamlessly formed and integrated and ordered. The information that is required to cause such a systemic operation would be very vast and is certainly beyond our ability to implement.

The somatic physiological vessel is important because it reveals that the physiological existence is not merely an anomoly that took place because of soem randomality of forces that cannot be explained that out of nothing appeared and developed into an incredible operational system. We are told that God (Elohyim) formed (yatsar/yetsar) man out of the dust of the ground. If we know nothing else we do know that the body does decompose and returns back into dust. But the important thing is that the physiology was "formed". This Hewbrew word Yatsar gives some very interesting facts concerning the body. It literally means to:

1. Squeeze into shape by pressing and making narrow or literally forming

2. To mold into a form as a potter woulds his pottery

3. To determ the form by forming a resolution

4. To fashion or to form the frame as per a purpose

This reveals that the somatic structure was literally formed for the purpose of receiving the "Living Breath". This living breath is the essential life energy of God. This living energy is the sentient being of God Himself. This sentient essence is the very being of God and is in fact His mind which consists of his full being. Within this breath was the patternized will of God that had the pattern of man's being and design.

The mind of man from the Biblical perspective is the product of this formed and designed somatic temple which is an organic containment for the living soul which is the mirror of the image and likeness of God. Man is a spirit enlivened soul that extends its awareness and consciousness through the somatic structure and through the pneumatic essence that gave it live and awareness. It is this mind that is active in thought (thinking consistently) that the writer of Proverbs 23:7 is called Sha'ar. The human mind was created to be perfectly balanced and integrated within the body and the spirit. It is the soul that through its integration became an individualized soul. Each physical soma was designed within an original pattern that caused the Neshammah to become individualized as a unique being. Every soul because of the wiring of its somatic temple is unqiue with specific patternized talents and abilities that are formed within them by reason of the soul either through Divine Mandate or a combination of genetics and the gracious giftings of God. It is through the mind that the physical man moves and is operated to perform the very desires and goals of the human soul. It is also the mind that links the Kingdom of God to the physical realm allowing the spiritual energies and power of the Kingdom to be unleashed into the realm in which mankind dwells. The mind of man is literally the gate keeper and the Gate. His thoughts allow for specific things such as solutions, concepts and ideas to be activated. His will is that which permits the thoughts to flow out of the very reservoirs of the image and likeness of God that was formed in him.

Without the continued refreshing of the mind within the proper perimeters in which it was formed to operate the mind will consistently sink into an antithetical state that opposes any of the primary objectives of God for creating the soul. The human mind is the Gate Keeper and his thoughts are the mental energies that are empowered to create and alter this realm of reality by the essence of the spirit that was and still is linked to the very nature and essence of God.
