Essencology And The Philosophy of The Mind
Because Essencology is the study and examination of the essence of man as a created being, it will examine man from a trichotomic perspective. The goal is not to study these respective parts individually but in conjunction with each other. It is understood that this cannot be done unless there is first some data that is useable that defines, describes and elucidates information concerning the trichotomy of man. This is why essencologist first examine the individual portions of man in order that these aspects of man's nature can be examined systemically as integrations of a physiological system.
What this means is that each portion of the nature of man will be examined from various perspectives (Science, Philosophy, Theology etc) and then studied from an integrated perspective. Because essencologists see man as living intelligent energy that is integrated within a somatic system and a pneumatic system essencology gives a lot of time to discovering the aspects of this living intelligent energy that is associated with the biblical principle of the "Chay Nephesh" (Living Soul). This concept sees man as living intelligence that is immaterial and yet objectively existent. The nephesh is more than a triparisan immaterial organism divided into three (3) individualized parts that work independent of one another.
Through much essencological research the concepts of the ancients, concerning the meaning of the soul, has yielded a comprehensive and rather extensive amount of information. There is yet much debate and theory concerning the mind/brain problem and what the soul truly is. With all of the myriad theories and concepts that are readily available essencology adds to the list a theory that sees the soul as a living individual that is the reflection of Primus Energeia and Primus Mens of the First Being (Primus Esse). Because essencologists see man as a living "mind" there has been a branch added to essencology that primarily examines the mind/body issue. This branch is called "Nepheshiology" (Nepeshiology). At first some of my students considered it to be another version of psychology. In a sense it is but in a sense it isn't (I know this defies the law of Non contradiction as well as other first principles). I say this because in most cases psychology does not advocate the existence of a living soul. many who study psychology do so from the materialist's point of view and therefore see the mind a merely an extension of the physiological systems with its electrical impulses working through the Central Nervous System (CNS) and the Peripheral Nervous System(PNS). As a field that investigates the nature of the mind, how it works within the body and what part the pneumatic elements of man's nature contributes to the functions of the soul(mind) essencology is similar to psychology. It is here that the similarities begin and end. Essencologists do not find the possibility of energy and chemicals becoming randomly intelligent and individuated personal beings. Therefore the vast differences in the approach to understanding man and his behavior while trying to aid man in becoming a pleromic pneumatic being.
In order to do this essencology has compiled and developed a system of "The Philosophy of The Mind". It is here that the concepts of other philosophers are examined, analyzed with great detail and ultimately compared with the biblical models for the examination of the human mind, its origin and its operations. Because many issues with the human mind being an integrated problem or integrated dysfunction essencologists agree that many issues are interwoven within the nepheshiological and physiological systems and yet the underlying issues appears to be a dysfunctional pneumatic state that originates from the primary phenomenon known as sin. Elements of the Philosophy of the Mind are utilized but from a unique perspective and therefore the model of doing the philosophy of the mind is contained within a totally different paradigm.
