The Trichotomic Brain (Evolution or Progressive Creation)

The modern brain and those theories concerning the brain are many. Because fields of science such as Biophysics, Theoretic Physics and Neural Science are relatively still being enhanced and theories yet being developed there can be many new findings at any given time theories, concepts and knowledge concerning the brain and the mind can change overnight.. One such theory is the the theory that the mind is considered to be the same as the brain. There are many serious implications to such a theory that, if taken serious will invoke unique perspectives of what humanity truly is.

The brain/mind theory of most is developed from the materialistic point of view. This theory simply says that such a thing as a soul or spirit does not exist. All that a man is as a person is merely encoded in the physical organ called the brain. Through the research and analysis of various research by such doctors and scientist as: Maclean, Broca, Wernicke and Fritsch many amazing facts have been discovered concerning the brain. Research while operating on the brain such as the classic "Conversations With Neil's Brain" by Clavin & Ojemann revealed that specific parts of the brain controlled specific parts of the body and subjective functions of thought such as memory, cognition, speech, the use of the hand etc. When this was discovered it was just assumed that the brain itself was the causation of all of these abilities or functions.

Because the physical location of the brain was stimulated with electrical impulses or electrical devises it was assumed that the brain itself is the actual person and source of the personality. But there are some very serious questions that one must ask? For instances can a machine no matter how remarkable give personality and individuality. Why are the brains of all humans essentially built the same and yet they produce different and unique personalities. If the brain was the same it should produce the same mental traits and functions.

The next problem is with every brain there are unique systemic methods in which the brain is used and developed based upon thought processes and perspective personalities. Why do the brains of different people develop differently. Can we say that the genes of forefathers find there way into the brains and the brains themselves develop on their on accord because of genetic control factors. This will raise another question who or what determines which brain will receive certain genetic directives and the intensity of the gene?

In Essencology (my research of 30 years) I, being a creationist, have found that the body with all of its somatic structures and systems is an incredible organic machine. The brain is also a very awesome devise and yet such a devise is just that a devise. I began to look at the process of death and what occurred to the human body and the brain in particular. What I found, though experience and through the observation of the research and theories that each were very consistent and comprehensive. But at the end of the day there was a change in the human vessel that was observed and pronounced to be deceased. Something was missing. The organs for all practical purposes were still useable if they were not subjected to a morbidity of disease or injury. Even the brain cells and central nervous system could keep functioning to a degree if hooked to specific machines or preserved in the correct manner to prevent deterioration.

It was if something had left the body. Was this something merely energy? If so was it merely electrical energy or something else? Can energy be the cause of millions upon millions of unique personalities and behaviors. It was here I began to examine scripture from a Theoretical Theological Perspective and a Scientific Theological Perspective (keep in mind that many philosophical assumptions have become the reality of modern technology) and what I discovered was amazing. Genesis 2:7 reveals that man was forged from the dust of the ground. The term used was the Hebrew term Yatsar (3335). The term expressed that God:

1. Formed this somatic temple framing it for something

2. To frame, form or preordain, plan

It was this information that gave me the theories I needed to begin my work on Essencology. The text leaped out at me and I began to understand. The physiology of man is a framed (designed) somatic system that would only operate with a living source of power. The body itself was no more than a living machine that would live when connected to the source of a living entity. The term yatsar significantly when used of God's creative activities referred to the act of forming within a specific purpose or design. Scripturally the entire body with its somatic systems were designed to function with a certain pattern. The body did nothing until God "Breathed Breath Into the Nostrils" One of the definitions given by Brown, Driver and Briggs is "to breath and thus give up or loose or lose life". This breath of God was called the "Neshammah Chay" or the "Breath of Life" This is what caused me to examine the text much closer.
