An Essencological Look At D.I.D.

One of the most amazing conditions is D.I.D. (Dissociative Identity Disorder) formerly called "Multiple Personality Disorder". D.I.D. is thought to be a psychological disorder wherein an individual in order to escape or to deal with extreme trauma creates at the subconscious level various identities for the purpose of dealing with the trauma. It is generally caused by repeated trauma such as physical, sexual and emotional abuse. Depending on the level or severity of the abuse an individual may form dozens of identities that surface at various times.

Dissociation is said to be like daydreaming wherein an individual gets lost in the moment. This can take place as a person is working on a project or concentrating on work or music etc. Dissociative Disorder is a very severe form of dissociation which may cause a lack of connection or awareness with one's thoughts, feelings, actions, memories or one's identity. It is believed that one with this disorder that also experiences severe trauma may experience episodes of D.I.D. Doctors have considered that this dissociative episode is a coping mechanism that occurs in the subconscious uses to dissociate himself from a situation or experience that is too violent, traumatic or painful to bear or assimilate with the consciousness (conscious self).

In many cases doctors are not always in agreement with the reality of such a disorder. Many believe that this disorder may be an actual offshoot of the disorder called "borderline personality disorder." There is yet a consensus that the development of multiple personalities is hard to understand even for a highly trained professional. It is not fully understood how these personalities are developed by individuals but many believe that there may be a difficulty in coping abilities as well as stress that may be developed when individuals seek to develop trusting emotional relationships others.

In Essencology the understanding of the human mind is generally done from a perspective of the mind being uniquely different from the brain. An identity is the conscious understanding of who and what a person is. It is how one sees their personal self. When one has experienced a trauma that is so intense it is possible for the mind to become fractured to alleviate the pain and spread the trauma throughout the various levels of consciousness. This extending of the trauma literally keeps the mind from snapping or suffering a total mental breakdown. In a sense the individual begins to develop characters that can handle specific trauma and pain or may create multiple identities to help one another to collective support one another to bear a degree of the emotional trauma of pain.

There is a strong possibility that this disorder may be a result of neuroplasticity. In the process of neuroplasticity the mind with its thought alter the brain by forming new neuron connections. The thought process may alter the very brain's state. As this occurs the brain develops in such a manner wherein the cells become enlarged and more numerous. The results are generally a stronger system of neurons that enable the mind to think a specific way. In a manner of speaking the mind lends itself to a state in which it splits like a nepheshian cell and each cell becomes an identity that the unconscious mind uses to minimize the pain or trauma that would be much more intense if not for the created identities.

Many in the religious field content that these multiple identities may literally be entities that are pneumatic in nature. In scripture there are seen many cases wherein multiple identities or personalities have manifested themselves in one individual and collectively worked together as a unified cell group to bring about possession or oppression. It is here that ministers must be very careful and insightful. It may be a combination of entities that have infiltrated the mind working with both the mind and the brain causing the brain to become rewired to openly give space and control to these entities. There is yet to understand about this disorder and what the true causes are. The staff at R.R.G. (Reeverian Research Group) is doing some serious and very comprehensive research along with R.M.E.G. Institutes of Higher Learning. Much more information is being prepared concerning this condition.
