Potisiology, The Study of Power

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:..." Acts 1:8

The Holy Ghost as it relates to the indwelling and the new birth process was given in the upper room approximately 33-34 A.D. and the Holy Ghost has been present in the Body of Christ in the earth since then. The church which is the Body of Christ, was the chosen vehicle of God to centralize His presence and power. The church is the prevailing source of active authority and power in the earth. As a matter of fact the church is called the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 1:22). It is beyond a shadow of a doubt that the church was to be an extension of God in the earth. As His body the church was to also be filled with power. The power that is spoken of is the power known as Dunamis.

This term for power exclusively refers to the power that is a part of the nature of the born again believer. It is power that has been infused into the very spiritual genetics of the believer and is as much a part of the nature of man as his physical body is. It is amazing that there are quite a few who believe that the power of the Holy Ghost ended with the death of the Apostles and the church no longer has access to the gifts of the Spirit. Especially in these last days and times when the power of God is one of the most important assets that the church possesses and needs to keep the powers of darkness at bay.

The term power literally can be traced back to the word potential or potent. These words expressly mean capability or power. The context of these words can also refer to that which is powerful and therefore it will have its origin from the word "Potis". It is here that the term Potisiology comes. It is the terminology that is used in R.M.E.G. for a complex study of "The powerful". This curriculum in all reality centers around the comprehensive study and research of:

1. The Powerful

2. Power

3. Anointing

4. How the Anointing Originates

5. The Nature of the Anointing

6. What is the Nature of the Corporate Anointing

7. The Pneumatiks of The Anointing

In short this course of study is devoted to understanding the power that God possesses and the power that God grants to His people. The need for such studies are very important because the the church is the embodiment of the restraining and opposing force of God in the earth and in these last days she has been experiencing a shortage of power and clarity of focus. This curriculum will soon be added to the ongoing curriculum of R.M.E.G. very shortly. It may take its place among our other institutes if school officials decide that it warrants having its own institution of higher learning.
