Reeverian Institute of Professorial Studies
R.I.P.S. To Open Soon
The Reeverian Institute of Professorial Studies (R.I.P.S.) is about to be launched as a new discipline in the R.M.E.G. Institutes of Higher Learning.
This institute has one focus which is to develop instructors, lecturers and professors as a part of the teaching staff of R.M.E.G. The course will explore the following principles:
1. The meaning of professor and the job that is a part of the professor's job description.
2. Understanding the various teaching styles as well as the learning styles.
3. The types of professors that exist and why there are unique levels of professors.
4. The teaching duties and other duties of a professor.
There are many other elements that will be a part of the core curriculum of the professorial studies program. The first core curriculum will be entitled: "The Decorum of the Professor." The first module consists of 25 units. The entire program is valued at 10 credits. When this module is completed the student will have the necessary training to become an instructor or jr. professor at any of our R.M.E.G. branch schools or one of our affiliate churches and our activities and programs.
This is not a class that one can merely breeze through but it is quite intensive because one of our goals as an institute is to prepare our students to be specialist who are truly prepared to build the Kingdom of God. Our professors are expected to take education serious and to treat it as a ministry. They are expected to understand the philosophy of education and to understand the process of teaching. In a sense of the word they are those who are professing to be expert instructors of their fields and this is what our program is all about.
